RockReef & PierZip Manager

RockReef Activity Attraction & PierZip is located on Bournemouth Pier, RockReef is based on adventure sports with climbing and adventure activities for all ages and is home to the world’s first pier to shore zip line.

We’re looking for someone to join our team who has a passion for well-being and all-round excellence, someone who will help us develop and grow our attractions to ensure we continue to provide excellent customer experiences. You need to be friendly and approachable and passionate about making sure everyone has fun.

Experience:

Must have held a management position within the leisure/hospitality industry for at least 12 months.

Job Role:

You will be part of the Bournemouth Pier hands on Management Team to oversee all aspects of the onsite management of the RockReef Indoor Adventure and PierZip attractions on Bournemouth Pier.

A primary focus will be ensuring the safe and correct operation of all facilities and adherence to correct procedures

Optimising commercial potential by introducing, and continually promoting, an active and positive safety and sales culture amongst the entire team.

Leading the team to promote new experiences and introduce customers to new and alternative ways to enjoy the attraction.

Delighting the customer, in a safe and fun environment and encouraging their full enjoyment of all the facilities in order to maximise short term and long term profitability of the business. This is the combined purpose of all attractions staff.

RockReef/PierZip Manager responsibilities:

  • Run the day to day operations of the businesses.
  • The continuing operation of all safety procedures and documentation.
  • Ensure the day to day operations of all pier attractions are delivered in a safe, customer exemplary and commercially successful manner.
  • Manage recruitment and oversee the attractions team and their training and development.
  • Management of suppliers and support specialists to ensure full and correct maintenance of all equipment.
  • Liaising with industry specialists and professional support bodies to ensure up-to-date awareness of standards and adherence to evolving industry protocols.
  • Introducing new policies and procedures as and when required.
  • The active management of the team to ensure their proactive commitment to upselling and driving repeat business through the positive re-enforcement of excellent customer experiences.
  • Overseeing the reception, ticketing, online and telephone booking system to ensure it is kept fully up-to-date and is optimised to increase sales and focused towards fulfilling customer expectations.
  • Develop the team, ensuring adequate management and supervisory cover at all times and a continuously evolving succession plan.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to maintain the website and social media updates. Experience of social media management preferred.
  • Develop the product offer working in conjunction with the Marketing Manager.

Reporting to Pier General Manager

Direct Reports – RockReef Assistant Manager, Lead Instructor, Senior Instructors, Reception Supervisor, RockReef Café Supervisor.

Working Hours and Conditions

Your normal working week will be 40 hours a week, which will include weekends and public holidays due to the nature of visitor attractions. Extra hours may often be required at peak times.

Key West Restaurant General Manager

Restaurant General Manager vacancy: A fantastic opportunity for a General Manager looking to make the next step into a unique venue with huge opportunities. Key West Bar & Grill is situated on the end of the iconic Bournemouth Pier.

As a General Manager within our business you will be responsible for all the site KPIs and development plan. You will have been in a General Manager role for at least 12 months and have experience in corporate events, functions, weddings, seasonal trade operation and online booking systems. You will have experience in large capacity table service venues within a bar/fresh food environment.

You will…

  • Control weekly sales volumes between 30-90K
  • Provide strategic growth & direction of the business.

Key West: Experienced Bar & Waiting Staff

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced bar & waiting staff to join our team. Key West is a unique operation located at the end of Bournemouth Pier catering for a wide range of customer expectations, from our popular coffee & cake deal, weddings receptions and evening events to cocktails and lunches.

Key West has 250 covers inside and a further 250 on our large outside terrace.

Main responsibilities:

Tasks will include food and drink preparation, money handling and customer service.

Security Guard

We have an exciting opportunity for a number of Sia security guard to join our growing business on Bournemouth seafront. Our continuing success is down to the talent and hard work from our people.

The Role

Our Security guard are the face of our business and are there to help customers, protect staff and reduce shoplifting. As a fast paced retailer we put customers first, second and third in everything we do. This role will require you to control queue system, suspicious subjects, protect other team members and reduce shoplifting as well as when require help with stock/ deliveries.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
  • Obtains help by sounding alarms.
  • Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.

Openwide International Administration Assistant

The Role

We are looking for an administration assistant to work with our small friendly team located on Bournemouth Pier.

We are looking for someone who is well organised and has the ability to prioritise workloads. This is a new and varied position so you must have a willingness to develop within the role and be adaptable to the needs of the business.

The Openwide team is made up of multiple businesses but we all work together to help each other, improve the businesses, and we like to have a laugh while we do it.

Duties to include:

Entering invoices/credit notes on accounting systems

Filing financial and human resource documents

Transaction Analysis report

Inputting new employees onto payroll system

Ordering stationary for pier operations

Updating Microsoft word templates and spreadsheets using Microsoft excel

Liaising with suppliers (i.e. chasing printers and arranging delivery or collection of goods)

Printing and laminating

Assisting in event organisation & administration; Includes keeping Eventbrite events up to date and transferring customer information to Collins software. Customer communication including sending e-mails, telephone communication, and taking payments over the phone.

Sending event & wedding packs to customers

Keeping onsite Marketing material up to date (i.e. replacing posters etc)

Updating LED screen with new adverts

Adhoc Market research

Updating databases

Various Adhoc administration jobs

The ideal candidate will have
