ROCKREEF ASSISTANT MANAGER

Area of responsibility is Main Reception and the associated admin/customer service via Telephone, email and face to face.

Hours – 30+ Must be available to work evenings, weekends, school holidays, including the summer holidays.

Salary – £11.50 per hour

Pension contribution subject to auto-enrolment requirements.

Experience in a hospitality/Leisure/Customer Service environment is essential.

As an Assistant Manager you will play a pivotal role in providing a warm and welcoming experience for all of our customers. You will be experienced in customer services, managing the day to day operations of the business as Duty Manager, Payroll, health and safety, staff training and have good experience of leading and motivating a team.

 

 

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Leadership
• To manage the team of the indoor climbing centre, Cafe and Pier Zip
• Ensure all staff provide a high level of customer service
• Provide training for new staff members and ongoing training throughout their employment
• Be responsible for centre cleanliness, deep cleans and completion of daily records for health and safety
• Responsible manager for the Main Reception/Admin function

 

 

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all safety processes are conducted properly
• To use all equipment in a safe manner as trained
• Opening and closing of the business and ensuring the site is secure at all times
• Attending team meetings as appropriate
• Cash handling, refunds and cashing up
• Stock Management; ordering and storage of food, stock take, maintaining adequate stock levels
• Be responsible for the running of birthday parties and events including catering and hosting

 

 

Customer Service:

• Ensure a high standard of customer service
• Ensure all staff members maintain a high level of customer service

 

 

Other:
• To assist with marketing as required
• To read and comply with the company staff handbook

 

 

Person Specification:

• Safety conscious with a professional outlook
• Must display a Positive, ‘can do attitude’
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Must meet operational standards
• Familiar with Health & Safety processes and legislation
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• High energy levels, enthusiasm and a great work ethic
• Computer/till literate
• Experience of cash/payment handling
• Experience of people management
• Must be able to work in an active environment
• Good at working with customers of all ages

ROCKREEF INSTRUCTOR (FULL TIME & PART TIME)

 

Varied hours available –  Must be available to work evenings, weekends, school holidays, including the summer holidays.

Salary – up to £10.42 per hour.

Pension contribution subject to auto-enrolment requirements.

Experience in a hospitality/Leisure/Customer Service environment is preferred but not essential.

As an instructor you’ll be in a physically and mentally challenging environment.

In-house training will be given and you will be expected to adhere to our Health & Safety processes. You’ll need to be able to work unsupervised at heights and help anxious customers in a safe and friendly manner.

 

 

Safety:

  • Ensure all safety processes and briefings are conducted correctly
  • To use all equipment in a safe manner as trained
  • To undertake PPE and site inspections and record them
  • Fit, remove and inspect PPE
  • To undertake opening and closing checks of activity areas
  • Ensure all participants are safe to participate and understand safety instructions
  • Report and record all accidents and incidents

 

 

Customer Service:

  • Ensure a high standard of customer service
  • To do everything within reason to minimise customer complaints and maximise customer enjoyment
  • Occasional reception work and assisting with customer enquiries and bookings

 

Other:

  • To assist with marketing as required
