To get onto Bournemouth Pier for free, all you have to do is book an activity at RockReef or book a table at Key West Bar & Grill located on the end of Bournemouth Pier. Just show your confirmation booking on pier toll entry before you enter.
Indoor RockReef Climbing Centre – Open all year round, RockReef is an all-weather attraction based on adventure sports and includes 28 Clip ’n Climb fun, themed, indoor climbing walls providing varying degrees of exciting challenges suitable for all abilities and all ages from 4-94! Other activities include a Vertical Slide drop, a ‘Leap of Faith’ jumping challenge, a HighLine high ropes aerial obstacle course and the Pier Cave which is a 65-linear metre indoor fun cave experience. Key West Kiosk – Need a quick drink, snack or ice cream to go? Refresh by our kiosk surrounded by benches and stunning views over towards Boscombe Pier. This kiosk is usually open during the peak season. Located on the left side of the pier (before you enter Key West Bar & Grill).
Small Fun Fair Rides – Operated by the BCP council, located at the end of Bournemouth Pier (below the PierZip tower) is ideal for small toddlers and young kids including the famous helter skelter & carousel. Please note: This is only operating from April until October.

No not on Bournemouth Pier. There are a few small rides for young children on the end of Bournemouth Pier (located underneath the PierZip tower) however this is operated by the BCP council and is only active during April to October.

Yes there is. Bournemouth Pier is flat and there is a ramp access with double doors to the main entrance of RockReef Activity Attraction and Key West Bar & Grill. There is a disabled toilet located on the East side of the pier.
Yes, dogs are allowed on Bournemouth Pier however dogs must be kept on the lead on all times.
Dogs are also allowed in Key West Bar & Grill Restaurant as it’s dog friendly.
Dogs are not allowed inside RockReef at any time (except Assistance dogs).
No, currently there are no boat trips that operate from Bournemouth Pier.
Yes, fishing is permitted on the east side of Bournemouth Pier either side of the Dorset Belle barriers. It is important that rods are reeled in when the boat is departing or docking at the landing stage. They must give way to the boat as the Dorset Belle has priority.
Fishing permits can be bought from the Bournemouth Tourism Information Centre (Located in the middle of Pier Approach)
It is recommended to fish early in the morning or late in the evening preferably on an incoming tide.

No, you can’t dive off Bournemouth Pier at any time. This is strictly prohibited at all times.
Wearing high heels on Bournemouth is very dangerous due to the gaps in-between the wooden panels so we highly recommend you avoid this due to potential inquiry.

Yes there are. Located at the entrance of Pier Approach is the Pier amusements operated by the BCP council. Here you will find a wide range of entertainment machines and amusements, and all the most up-to-date videos and prizes.
We have a wide range of family orientated games and prizes from the current film licences, appealing to gamers with our ground-breaking, up to date video games, with franchises such as The Walking Dead, Tomb Raider and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. We also pride ourselves on our pinball area, with well kept tables from both the modern and classic games.

To walk from the Bournemouth town centre, through Bournemouth Lower Gardens and through to the Pier Approach it takes approx 10 minutes.
Bournemouth’s local bus company More Buses can take you to Bournemouth Pier with bus stops nearby. Please visit their website here.
From Bournemouth Central train station is takes approx 25 minutes to walk, or cycling is 8 minutes.
It’s approx 1.1 miles away.
There are a few parking spaces around but during busy peak times and/or sunny days, please check before you travel.
BCP council’s nearest Park and Ride site in Kings Park (by the Stadium) is clearly signposted off the A338 Wessex Way.
It costs £5 for an all day ticket. Free buses leave every 15 minutes from 9am, and will drop you off by Boscombe Pier which is the closest you can to Bournemouth Pier.
From Boscombe to Bournemouth Pier is approx 1.5 miles or 28 minutes to walk.
Buses return from the same stop at Boscombe Pier every 15 minutes. The last bus is at 6.45pm.
